What sorts of paints do you use, and are they safe for children?
I use a blend of Dulux Trade household matt emulsion and artists’ acrylics. These paints are low in VOCs, low odour, highly durable, lightfast, and washable with warm soapy water and a soft sponge. The price also includes a protective coat of acrylic-based flat matt varnish, which further increases durability and makes cleaning easier. Like the paints, the varnish is low in VOCs. While not completely chemical-free (so definitely not edible!), they are as safe to use as standard water-based household paints.
Where do you live and what area do you cover?
I am based in North East England, but would consider travelling within the UK for commissions.
What is your schedule and roughly when can you start?

How long would it take to paint the mural?
For hand-painted murals, the time really depends on the size and complexity of the design. A simple design can come to life in just a day or two, while a more detailed mural on one wall might take anywhere from 4 to 10 days.
If you have a set budget in mind, I’m happy to offer a fixed price upfront. That way, even if the mural takes me a little longer to finish, you’ll never pay more than the agreed amount—no hidden extras, just peace of mind.
A deposit of 25% of the quoted price will be required to book your slot in my calendar.
What preparation is needed on my wall, prior to the mural?
I can paint on new or old plaster, as well as lining paper or wallpaper in good condition (though vinyl wallpaper isn’t suitable). The best results come from freshly plastered walls that have been sealed, primed, and given a coat of white emulsion. Older or painted plaster is usually fine too, as long as it’s repaired and primed.
If any prep work is needed, I can handle this for an agreed extra cost.
